Tracy A. Marsolek, 107, of Independence, died Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Grand View Care Center, Blair. Tracy was born March 13, 1910 in Independence to Martin and Rose (Sonsalla) Kampa. She married Eli Marsolek October 21, 1930 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence. He died May 8, 1977. Tracy worked at Independence Locker Plant for many years. She enjoyed helping others and held a variety of jobs, from picking apples to painting houses. She especially enjoyed being able to cook for many weddings and to make sure everyone had enough to eat. She loved to share. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, its women’s organization and rosary society. Tracy is survived by daughter, Loretta Weisenberger of Blair; two grandchildren, Sharon (Ed) Koch and Michelle Weisenberger; two great-grandchildren, Amber (Tim) Radatz and Dwight (friend, Christa Sokup) Weisenberger; great-great-grandchildren, Wilson and Nolie Radatz; two step-great-grandchildren; four step-great-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband, Eli; son-in-law, Ralph Weisenberger Jr.; grandson, Gary Weisenberger; two sisters and four brothers. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Very Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass at the church on Saturday.
