Terry S. Gunderson, 59, of Strum, died Saturday, December 30, 2017, at HSHS Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau Claire. Terry was born October 11, 1958 in St. Paul, Minn. to Percy and Betty Gunderson. He married Jean Gilbertson April 8, 1978 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Beldenville, Wis. Terry had various careers early in life before starting with the hardest boss of them all, himself. Terry founded his own business alongside his wife in 2004, building a large rapport with customers all over Midwest Wisconsin and beyond. Terry was the ultimate family man, doing anything and everything for his kids and grandkids. From them waking him up early, to keeping him out all day to attend various school/sporting events, and hosting family cookouts that provided leftovers for days, he lived for that and took pride in his family. Summer always included the family trip to Jellystone that kept the grandkids eager year long. Taking the pontoon out with Jean and the family became Terry's other summer favorite, just cruising and dreaming. At any of the family events you could always count on Terry to record it and make a DVD of the year. His family deeply misses him and he will never be forgotten. Terry is survived by his wife, Jean of Strum; four children, Kristina Dunnam of Cadott, Ryan (Ellen) Gunderson of Eleva, Bobbi (Tony) Waters of Dover, MN. and Haylie (Jake) Dewitz of Osseo; seven grandchildren, Paige Nelson, Andrew Gunderson, Ethan Gunderson, Elizabeth Dunnam, Carter Gunderson, Alivia and Kori Waters; father, Percy Gunderson of River Falls; two brothers, Larry (Mona) Gunderson of Lake Preston, SD and Randy (Lynn) Gunderson of Ellsworth; three sisters, Cathy (Lyle Hovda) Gunderson of River Falls, Nancy (Paul Drobny) Gunderson of River Falls and Wendy (Bill) Cook of Spring Valley. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Strum, with Rev. Valerian Ahles officiating. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to services Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
