Sandra Melby, 65, of Arcadia, died Wednesday, January 27, 2021 in Arcadia. Sandra was born September 11, 1955 in Whitehall to Donald and Dolores (Sobish) Melby. Sandra was an extremely hard worker, she dedicated 46 years of her life to Arcadia Fryers/Golden Plump/Pilgrims. She worked holidays, weekends, overtime and never complained. She took pride in her hard work and enjoyed her co-workers. Her goal was to be the longest employee and reach the 50-year mark before she retired. She had the biggest heart and was always helping others. She would donate vacation time & money to those in need. She lived simply and took pride in her family and especially her grandchildren. Sandra was extremely strong and did not let any hindrance stop her. She loved the Lord, read the Bible daily, and re-wrote many scriptures. Although gone too soon she will forever be in our hearts and remembered by her gentle touch and beautiful smile. Survivors include four children, Jake (Sarah) Melby of Holmen, Stephanie (John) Lynch of Neillsville, Autumn (Mike) Bergerson of Independence and Arron Bloom of Whitehall; her father, Donald Melby of Blair; four sisters, Sue Fletcher of Merrillan, Shirley (Tony) Baldwin of Sparta, Sarah (Rich) Knutson of Taylor and Stacy (Don) Hohmann of Arcadia; four brothers, Sam (Jeannie) of Blair, Scott (Brenda) of Blair, Steve (Sheila) of Arcadia and Stanley Melby of Blair; nine grandchildren, Austin, Madeline, Emerson, Violet, Payten, Riley, Dawson, Jaeryk and Michael. Sandra was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores Melby and grandparents. Public visitation will be held on Sunday, January 31, 2021 from 1-3 p.m.at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, followed by private family services due to current COVID-19 restrictions. A celebration of Life gathering will be held this summer at the Melby family farm.
