Rudy Rombalski

Rudy Rombalski, 75, of rural Independence, died Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at his home. Rudy was born February 4, 1942 in Independence, to Clarence and Eleanore (Przybilla) Rombalski. He married Judy Underheim March 3, 1962 at St. Bridget’s Catholic Church, Ettrick. Rudy operated various businesses over the years but especially enjoyed cooking, restaurants and catering. He enjoyed hunting and fishing trips to Canada and South Dakota. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Rudy is survived by his wife, Judy of Independence; two sons, Randall and Rick (Janice) Rombalski both of Independence; a sister, Marcy (Paul) Isaacson of Foster, Wis.; three grandchildren, Jessica Andre, Cody and Carly Rombalski. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Rhonda Rombalski. Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2017, at Edison Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until time of service on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Bridget’s Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
