Ronald Nelson

Ron Nelson, 65, of Independence, died Monday, August 5, 2019 at his home. He was born June 3, 1954 in Mondovi to LeMoine and Delores (Christianson) Nelson. Ron married Louise Przybilla on October 30, 1976. He served in the Army from 1972-1974 and then worked at Ashley Furniture until retirement. He loved to visit with family and friends. Survivors include a son, Dean Nelson of Mondovi; daughter, Anita Nelson of Independence; father, LeMoine Nelson of Independence; mother, Delores Knipfer of New Auburn; brother, Gary Nelson of Independence; two sisters, Lori (Bill) Brandenburg of Independence and Sherrie (Tom) Lowenhagen of Gilmanton; nieces, nephews and his “granddogs” Nacho Bear, Frank and Randy. A Celebration of Life gathering with military rites by Forrest-Gunderson-Klevgard American Legion Post 264 will begin at the American Legion Hall in Gilmanton at 1:00 p.m..
