Myron "Mike" Passow

Myron “Mike” Passow, 90, of Fountain City, died Friday, March 29, 2019 at St. Michael’s Assisted Living in Fountain City. Mike was born May 25, 1928 in Belvidere Township, Buffalo County, to Walter and Olinda (Gross) Passow.   He married Delores Stuber June 16, 1949 at Christ Lutheran Church, Cochrane. She died May 6, 1982. He married Phyllis Rebhahn September 17, 1982 at Pine Creek Catholic Church. Mike graduated from Cochrane High School where he played center on the basketball team. He was a dairy farmer in Belvidere Township. After retiring from farming, he drove school bus for the Arcadia School District and did road maintenance for the Town of Dodge. Mike enjoyed horses on the farm and for pleasure. He used his beloved team “Duke” and “King” for farm chores, wagon and sleigh rides, parades, weddings and funerals. He was the co-founder of the Wagon Wheel Teamsters Club. He was a true teamster! Mike made family camping trips with his horse “Pepper” to Oklahoma, Montana, North and South Dakota. He was also the trail boss for many Dodge Sportsman’s Club trail rides. Mike is survived by his wife, Phyllis; six children, Linda (David) Fetting, Lonnie Passow, Jody Passow, Jeff (Sylvia) Passow, Robin (Tim) Hoesley and Tom Passow; step-son, Mike (Sandy) Rebhahn; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 7 step-great-grandchildren; 5 step-great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Milton Stuber; former daughters-in-law, Cindy Passow and Jill Glenzinski; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife; parents; sister, Ruth Ernst; three brothers, Hilbert, Marvin and Ivan Passow; grandson, Logan Passow, and step-grandson, Matt Severinski. Memorial services will be held at noon on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Christ Lutheran Church, Cochrane with Rev. Mark Wilde officiating. Burial will be in Buffalo City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of services. Memorials are suggested to St. Michael’s Assisted Living or Winona Health Hospice.
