Maria Caridad Salinas, 58, of Onalaska, formerly of Independence, died Monday, December 4, 2017 at her home. Maria was born December 8, 1958 in Cardenas, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Odon Aguilar and Petra Salinas. She married Hector Lopez. Maria was a homemaker and also a pastor for 10 years. She proudly earned her high school diploma at Western Technical College in La Crosse on February 15, 2017. Maria was very devoted to her family. She cared for everyone she met and smiled at everybody. Maria is survived by four children, Juan (Rosy) Gracia-Salinas of Arcadia, Zayra Gracia-Salinas of Houston, Texas, Cherry (Felipe Martinez) Gracia-Salinas of Arcadia and Alberto Miguel Salinas-Lopez of Onalaska; mother, Petra Salinas of Cp carbonera sur, Mexico; five grandchildren, Josue, Katia and Angel Gracia, Stephanie Ahumada and Arielle Martinez; a great-granddaughter, Sasha Martinez-Ahumada. She is further survived by 14 sisters and 3 brothers including her sister, Concepcion Salinas, who was staying with Maria. Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Lily Of The Valley Church, rural Arcadia. Burial will be in the Old Whitehall Cemetery, rural Whitehall, on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday and 9-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
