Luke J. Pientok, 86, of Chippewa Falls, formerly of Arcadia, passed away, on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Dove Healthcare- Rutledge Home, Chippewa Falls. Luke was born October 18, 1932 in Independence, to Frank and Veronica (Marsolek) Pientok. He married Mary Lou Wolfe November 18, 1958 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Arcadia. He graduated from Independence High School and served in the Army and spent time in Germany. He and his wife farmed for many years. He also did custom work for other farmers. He pulled horses for 15 years and won many contests. In his retired years, he worked at Arcadia Recycling. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou of Chippewa Falls; four children, Leon of Rock Falls, Ill.; Lynette (Frank) Niebauer of Eau Claire, Loren (Melissa) Pientok of Dodge and Leslie (Don Geffe) Mohler of Mondovi; sister, Clara Armbuster of Antigo, Wis.; four grandchildren, Michael Sylla, Chrissy Pientok, Morgan and Dustin Mohler; brother-in-law, Mel Wilke of Cudahy and a sister-in-law, Linda Pientok of Independence. Luke was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bruno and Francis Pientok; four sisters, Helen Kupka, Agnes Wilke, Rose Ann Dahl and Polly Pronschinske and grandson, Tyler Pientok. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 4, 2019 at Holy Family Parish, Arcadia with Rev. Kyle Laylan officiating. Military rites, conducted by Tickfer-Erickson American Legion Post 17, Arcadia, will be in Calvary cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. followed by a rosary, at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
