Lenore Larson, of rural Mondovi, went to be with her Lord, November 10, 2018 at the age of 97 years, 4 months-12 days at Mayo Clinic Health System – Eau Claire. Lenore was born June 28, 1921, in Bennett Valley, to Robert and Allie (Klevgard) Hovey. She married Lester K. Larson June 27, 1942 at East Bennett Valley Church. He died August 13, 2004. The couple farmed in Naples Township from 1942 until 1981. Lenore loved her family and music. She played the organ at home and sang in the church choir, Norden Singers. She loved to bake. She created the yarn, by cutting strips of fabric, to make rugs. She loved her cat Learose. Lenore is survived by her three children, Larry of Mondovi, Roger (Beth) of Mondovi and Anita (Dave) Kiral of Dodge; two grandchildren, Ken (Erica) Larson of Mondovi and Eric Larson of Wausau; five great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Maddex, Liam, Kenzie and Logan Larson; four brothers and sisters, Vilas Hovey, Delaine (Elsa) Hovey, Robert Jr. Hovey and Mary Ann Starks; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; two brothers, Dennison and Amos Hovey and sister Ruth Peterson. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Trinity of Norden Lutheran Church, rural Mondovi, with Pastor Lowell Bolstad officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the church and one hour prior to services Wednesday.
