Kim Marie Suchla, 54, of Independence, died Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Gundersen Tri-County Care Center in Whitehall. Kim was born May 19, 1964 in Whitehall to Ernie and Betty (Zilla) Suchla. Kim loved to spend time with her family and shopping. She was a customer service representative at Ashley Furniture Industries for 17 years and a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence. Kim is survived by the love of her life and fiancé, Brad Johnson of Independence; daughter, Barbara Jean Suchla of Indpendence; mother, Betty Suchla of Independence; three brothers, Ken (Margaret) Suchla of Independence, Bill (Rachael Ashley) Suchla of Independence and Ted (Heather Wiltse) Suchla of Coon Valley, Wis.; sister, Betsy Suchla-Lewis of Rodeo, Calif.; brother-in-law, Bruce Brandenburg of Independence; sister-in-law, Patty Suchla of Cudahy; many beloved nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews that she adored. She was preceded in death by her father; brothers, Richard, Steven, Daniel; sisters, Jean Suchla and Barbara Brandenburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 15, 2019 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, and one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Friday. The family would like to thank all of Kim’s good friends and community for their support during her fight.
