John Przybilla

John P. Przybilla, 94, of Independence, died Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Pigeon Falls Health Care Center. John was born May 20, 1928, in Wickham Valley, Trempealeau County, to John and Elizabeth (Marsolek) Przybilla. He worked road construction until retirement at age 65 and also farmed with his brothers Ernest and Roman in Wickham Valley. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence. John is survived by his sister, Loretta Palkowski of Independence; special niece and Goddaughter: Michelean (Mike) Prokop, and her children: Cameron and Zane; and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ernest, Alphonse, Roman and Clarence Przybilla; sisters, Clara Dumback, Monica Schildnecht and Aurelia Bautch. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father George Thayilkuzhithottu officiating. Family and friends are invited for visitation one hour prior to the mass at church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made in John's memory to Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School, or the Independence School.
