Frank Bautch, 61, of Independence, died Sunday, October 28, 2018 in the woods in rural Arcadia while hunting. Frank was born October 4, 1957, in Arcadia, to Larry and Margaret (Micek) Bautch. He married Brenda Berg on July 26, 1980. While Frank worked a variety of jobs throughout his life, he spent most of his time and energy working the farm he bought at the age of 17. When he wasn’t cutting wood, fencing or tending the sheep or beef cattle, you would find him either hunting, fishing, riding horse or at an auction. He especially loved doing these things with his grandchildren. His sarcasm, button-pushing and laugh will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. Frank is survived by his wife, Brenda of rural Independence; daughter, Melissa (Kole) Gamez of Arcadia; two sons, Jesse (Kayla) Bautch of Independence and Brady Bautch of Osseo; two grandchildren, Brody and Beau Gamez of Arcadia; six brothers and sisters, Wanda (Rick) Kastner of St. Paul, Minn., Linda (Donald) Donaldson of New Auburn, Wis., Yvonne Jacobs of Eagan, Minn., Nancy (Chris) Exley of Finlayson, Minn., Marylou Bautch of Independence and Regis (Michelle) Bautch of Whitehall; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Edison Funeral Home, Independence. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date.
