Esther A. Gamroth, 98, of Independence, died Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Bethany Riverside Nursing Home, La Crosse. . Esther was born April 11, 1920 in Eau Claire, to Elmer and Emma (Knudtson) Iverson. She married Henry Gamroth on September 28, 1946 in Eau Claire. He died September 10, 1994. Esther loved to play Bingo and drink coffee. She was a hard worker her whole life and her family was very important to her. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and women’s organization. Survivors include her three children, Tom Gamroth of Arcadia, Bonnie Klimek of Arcadia and Patricia (John) Bagniewski of Holmen; seven grandchildren, Jeff (Gina) and Josh (Gina) Klimek, Mark (Sara) Gamroth, Jenna (Matt) Sampson, Jared (Lindsay) Bagniewski, Jacob and Rebecca Gamroth; eight great-grandchildren, Gracie and Damon Klimek, Addison and Cameron Klimek, Gavin Gamroth and Elliot and Isla Sampson and Micah Bagniewski. Esther was preceded in death by her husband; brother, Richard Iverson and two sisters, Violet Olson and Irene Wenaas. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Very Rev. Sebastian Kolodziejczyk officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at the church on Saturday.
