Elizabeth "Becky" Olson

Elizabeth “Becky” Olson, 83, of Elk Creek, died Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health Care System in Eau Claire. Becky was born August 20, 1934 to Gustave and Pauline (Oleson) Walter in Eau Claire, Wis. She married Lloyd O. Olson May 17, 1958 in Eau Claire. He died February 27, 2012. The couple farmed in Section 36 Valley, rural Independence for many years and then moved to Elk Creek in 1987. Becky is survived by three children, Julie Pronschinske of Independence, Pamela (Wayne) Haines of Arcadia and Scot (Cheryl) Olson of Gilmanton; two sisters, Patricia (Richard) Kuehn of Mahtomedi, Minn. and Donna Plomedahl of Fairview Heights, Ill.; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Gary; two brothers, Dan and Tom Walter; son-in-law, Joe Pronschinske. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 11, 2018 at Chimney Rock Lutheran Church, rural Strum, with Rev. Lisa Watson-Hill officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
