David D. Haines, 78, of Whitehall, died Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Gundersen Tri-County Hospital and Clinics in Whitehall. Dave was born December 2, 1940, in Arcadia, to Christ and Pelchie (Waldera) Haines. He married Kay Litscher September 22, 1962 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Arcadia. Dave worked for the city of Arcadia for several years. He did maintenance work at Whitehall Specialties. He enjoyed buying and selling junk cars with his son, Mike. He loved slow country rides. He enjoyed camping and fishing. Whenever they set up their tent, it would rain. He took great pride in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dave is survived by his wife, Kay of Whitehall; son, Michael (Lisa) of Black River Falls; two granddaughters, Jordy (Daniel) Smith of Black River Falls and Mikhael (Jordan) Langrehr of Rockland, Wis.; three great-grandchildren, Aiden-Marie Haines, Rory and Roman Langrehr; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and his dog, Teko. He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis; parents; brother, Daniel (Elaine) Haines; mother and father-in-law, Wayne and Eileen Litscher. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2019 at St. John the Apostle Catholic Church, Whitehall with Rev. Fr. Woodrow Pace officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, rural Arcadia. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church.
