Craig M. Kulig, 39, of rural Whitehall, died Saturday, September 15, 2018 at his home. Craig was born January 27, 1979 in Rochelle, Ill., to Darrel and Alice (Pilarski) Kulig. Craig graduated from Whitehall High School in 1997 and University of Wisconsin- River Falls in 2002 with a B.S. in Agriculture and Economics. He worked for Ashley Industries and various banks in the area. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was dedicated to his family. Craig fought a courageous battle with Lupus for 25 years. He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Jeff (Emily) Kulig and their two children, Kole and Eve, Brian Kulig and a sister, Lisa (fiancé Rylie Sobotta) Kulig, all of Whitehall; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., followed by a rosary, at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, and one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Tuesday.
