Conrad Halama

Conrad "Connie" Thomas Halama, age 80, of Independence, WI, passed peacefully at home on Saturday, May 25, 2024, spending his final days surrounded by his loving family. His life journey with his better half Patricia "Trish" began on April 27, 1968. A commercial construction worker and carpenter by trade, he lended his expertise in home-building to the community for many working years. He built his family's home that housed countless precious memories. He spent lots of time hunting, fishing, golfing, and proudly supporting Wisconsin sports teams. More than 56 years of married life blessed him with a beautiful family and many friends. He is survived by his devoted wife, Trish; daughter, Valerie (Jerry) Underwood; son, Chad (Kathryn); beloved grandchildren, Christian (Rachel), Olivia (Patrick), Devin, and Aren; great-grandson, Henry; dear friend, John Berg; and brothers, Donald and Gerald (Delores) Halama. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Agnes Halama; and two sisters, Bernice Smieja and Eleanor Andre. A truly passionate and spirited man, Connie was deeply loved and will be missed by many.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Reverend George Thayilkuzhitottu officiating. Family and friends are welcome for visitation from 4-7 p.m., Tuesday May 28 with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at Edison Funeral Home. Visitation will also be from 9:30-10:30 a.m., Wednesday at church. He will be laid to rest in Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by the Sura-Wiersgalla American Legion Post 186.
