Carol A. Wolfe, 76, of Independence, died Monday, December 24, 2018 at her home. Carol A. Wolfe, 76, of Independence, died Monday, December 24, 2018 at her home. Carol was born May 8th, 1942 in Waumandee to Marvin and Josephine (Cisewski) Rothering. She married Marcus Woychik on June 18, 1958, together they had six children. She later married her childhood friend Robert Wolfe on February 11, 2000 and became a family with his two children. Bob sadly and unexpectedly passed away the following year. Carol was an amazingly strong woman. She persevered through many tragedies and difficult times in her life somehow always managing to see the good and be the good with her fun-loving nature and wonderful smile. Carol loved family. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were kept very close to her heart. She loved cheering them on at their sports events and was a regular at MANY sporting events from T-ball to college football rarely missing a game! In later years, she spent happy summers making new friends at the campsite. On any given day there could be a spur of the moment gathering with jokes, games, fun and of course good food. Carol was also the proud owner of Carol’s Cakes & Crafts for many years showcasing her very talented baking and craft skills. Carol is survived by her four children: Jeff “Rump” Woychik, Mike (Cindy) Woychik, Dan (Nancie) Woychik and Sharon (Mark) Robinson; two step-sons: Matt (Andrea) Wolfe and Ryan (Dana) Wolfe; eight grandchildren: Jeffrey Woychik, Chris (Katy) Pronschinske, Sheila (Riley) Kupka, Jason (Christa) Woychik, Andrew Robinson, Samuel Robinson, Joshua Robinson, Jacob Robinson; three step-grandchildren James, Miles & Elliot Wolfe: four great-grandchildren: Austin & Lilly Pronschinske, Layla & Rowan Carol Woychik; her loving sisters Jane (Ernest) Guenther and Mary Jo (Dennis) Benusa; special friend Fred Hodowanic; and many nieces and nephews that she lovingly teased. She was preceded in death by her parents, two beloved sons Steve & David Woychik, her brother Roger Rothering, and sister Adeline Pientok. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 31, 2018 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Sunday with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., followed by a rosary, at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, and one hour prior to the Mass at church on Monday. Please join us for a “Celebration of Life” at Eagles Bar following the funeral to celebrate all things “Carol”. In the spirit of her loving and unpredictable personality, she has asked us to convey this last message “Love YousGuys”.
