Adolph J. Lyga, 86, of Independence, died Monday, March 18, 2019 at Gundersen Tri-County Care Center in Whitehall. Adolph was born August 10, 1932 in Montana Township, Buffalo County, to Alex and Victoria (Mish) Lyga. Adolph worked on farms and worked at AG Broiler in Arcadia for 21 years. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Survivors include three children, Gary Lyga of Osseo, Nancy Lyga-Flick of Eau Claire and Karen (Donald) Goss of Osseo; two brothers, Richard Lyga of Independence and Roland Lyga of Arcadia; one sister, Victoria Marsolek of Whitehall; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Alan Lyga; infant daughter, Linda Lyga; daughter, Bonnie Larson; and three brothers, Aloizy, Alex and Stanley Lyga; two sisters, Eleanore Slaby and Angeline Obieglo. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday at Edison Funeral Home, Independence. No other services are scheduled.
