INDEPENDENCE – Larry Adank Sr., 75, of rural Independence, died Thursday, April 29, 2010 at his home.
Larry was born October 25, 1934 in Montana Township, Buffalo County, to Peter and Bertha (Pape) Adank. He married Margaret Klopotek in Whitehall.
The couple farmed in Arcadia Township. Larry also was a live hauler for Golden Plump in Arcadia for over 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret of Independence; a son, Larry “Chip” Adank Jr. of Independence; three daughters, Sue, Sara and Cindy Adank all of Independence; two grandchildren, Vanessa Adank and Issac Halvorson.
Larry was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Adank and four brothers, Jerry, Harrison, LaVern and Virgil Adank.
Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, with Rev. Terry Lorenz officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
