Delores M. Baertlein, 86, of Independence, died Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Grand View Care Center, Blair.
Delores was born March 21, 1930 in Stanley, to John and Lettie (Booth) Baldeschwiler. She married Max C. Baertlein November 4, 1950 in Boyd. He was the love of her life and best friend.
Delores enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved to bake, read, play games, fish and camp. She enjoyed spending time in her flower gardens. She looked forward to weekly coffee with the ladies.
She is survived by her husband, Max of Independence; son John (Kim) of Rochester, Minn.; two daughters, Julie Majeski of Tucson, Ariz. and Pam (Stuart) Kolb of Green Bay; nine grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Debbie (Baertlein) Labs; parents, John and Lettie Baldeschwiler and a sister, Alice Filipiak.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2017 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Very Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass at the church on Monday.
