Clifford A. Giemza, 97, of Arcadia, died Thursday, September 15, 2016 at Pigeon Falls Health Care Center, Pigeon Falls.
Clifford was born December 1, 1918, in Arcadia Township, Trempealeau County, to Thomas and Agatha (Walek) Giemza. He married Marian Weaver August 1, 1938 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, North Creek. She died September 17, 2005.
Clifford was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church. He farmed in Arcadia Township and then worked for the town of Arcadia until retirement.
He enjoyed fixing small engines, weed eaters and especially lawn mowers. He could fix most anything!
Clifford is survived by three daughters, Doris Davis of Blair, Betty (James) Wozney of Arcadia and Debra (Paul) Franson of Pigeon Falls; eleven grandchildren, Jeff (Dawn), Pamela and Scott (Nicole) Davis, Natalie (Terry) Erickson, Tammy (Rod) Kester, Tom (Marilyn), Tim (Stacey) and Jon (Kara) Wozney, Bryan (Anna) Franson, Jessica (Ted) Pintaro and Kristin (Derek) Bell and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife; seven brothers, Ben, Louie, Edmund, Joe, John, Roman and Albert Giemza and five sisters, Euphrosine Sobiek, Kate Sobotta, Ceil Ceske, Mary Bautch and Julia Woychik and son-in-law, Gerald Davis.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 17, 2016 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, North Creek (N29771 Church Hill Rd.), rural Arcadia. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Arcadia.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church on Saturday.
