– On July 8, 2016, the soul of Barbara K. Yapp departed from Gunderson Health System of LaCrosse and entered into God’s heavenly kingdom.
Barb first glimpsed the world on January 9 of 1953, the firstborn of Quintin and Marian (Marsolek) Pronschinske. Barb soon became a role model to six younger siblings whom she guided daily and loved immensely. Barb was later blessed with four wonderful children of her own during her finite marriage to Doug Yapp. Barb cherished each of her children and was able to witness their growth everyday as a stay-at-home mom. In her life, Barb had a great capacity for enjoying the simple things: visiting with family, tending her garden, selling MaryKay cosmetics, sharing a smile, and lending her helping hands to those in need. She was always quick with a compliment, even to those she’d just met. During Barb’s two-and-a-half-year fight with cancer, her strength and determination shown as never before. Though cancer claimed her body, it could never break her beautiful soul. Those whom she left on Earth are thankful that she has now found painless peace, and eagerly await a reunion with Barb. Thank you for being our rock and inspiration, and now, our angel.
