Nicole Thoma Hall, 41, of rural Independence, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at her home after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Nicole was born August 2, 1974 in Colorado Springs, Colo. to Bill and Tess (Halama) Thoma. She was a devoted mother who would do anything for her daughter. Being quick with a smile and a pleasant word, she made friends wherever she went.
She was a graduate of Independence High School and Winona State University. Nicole worked for several years at the La Crosse Social Security Office.
Nicole is survived by her daughter, Cecilia Hall; parents, Bill and Tess Thoma; brothers, Chris (Dione) Thoma of North Branch, Minn. and Mike Thoma of Strum, Wis.; grandmother, Irene Halama of Whitehall.
Nicole was preceded in death by grandparents, Lambert and Mary Thoma and Ernest Halama.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Very Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. followed by a rosary, at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
