Mary Strumness, 57, of Independence, died Friday, January 15, 2016 at University Hospital, Madison.
Mary was born October 17, 1958 in Whitehall, to Ernest and Pelchie (Sobotta) Severinski. She married Morris Strumness on July 30, 1985 in Whitehall.
Mary was an amazing and loving mother and grandmother. She always looked out for everyone else.
Survivors include her husband, Morris of Independence; son, Allan Strumness, of Independence, and his special friend Nicole Lumpkin and her daughter Elizabeth Perkins; daughter, Mandy Severinski of Independence and her special friend Charles Bellows; a brother, Ron Severinski of Whitehall; two sisters, Shirley (Wayne) Scow and Betty (Doc) Schock both of Arcadia; two grandchildren, Evan Severinski and Adien Strumness.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Donald Severinski.
Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, January 23, 2016, at Edison Funeral Home, Independence.
Visitation will be held from noon Saturday until time of service at the funeral home.
