Rudolph "Rudy" Rebarchek, 68, of rural Independence, went to tend his flower garden and pumpkin patch in heaven on Sunday, February 15, 2015.
Rudy was born August 17, 1946 in Whitehall, to Andrew and Eleanore (Matchey) Rebarchek.
He dairy farmed for several years before entering into the florist business. He owned and operated Absolutely Rudy’s in Independence and Arcadia.
Rudy is survived by his mother, Eleanore Bohlinger of Whitehall; sisters, Barbara (Harold) Roskos of So. Milwaukee and Patricia (Jon) Strom of Minneapolis; brother, Gary (Donna Shoemaker) Rebarchek of Whitehall; niece, Jill Roskos; nephews, Craig (Julia Malcolm) Roskos, Henry and Zak Roskos. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends, Tammy, Joe, Roger, David and Tony.
He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 20, 2015 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Very Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
