Theresa "TC" Sobota

Theresa "TC" A. Sobota, 84, of Alma Center, died Sunday, November 16, 2014 at her home. She was born January 23, 1930 to Roy and Helen Lyga. She married the love of her life, Ralph Sobota June 25, 1951 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence. They settled in Alma Center, Wis. where she was a very active member of the community especially in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where she was a member of the altar society and other church activities. TC loved politics and was proud to be a life-long Democrat! She is survived by her husband, Ralph; four daughters, Sara (Bill) Dobyns, Sally (Kyle) Anderson, Peg (John) Hayden and Mary (Dan) Shaw; sister, Agnes Johnson; six grandchildren, Ian, Cate, Hannah, Tim, Lily and Sam; four great-grandchildren, Anthony, Gavin, Isaiah and Beckett and many nieces and nephews. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant everything to her and she loved them all with her whole heart. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Marcel and Edmund Lyga; sister, Rita Helgeson and granddaughter, Emily Dobyns. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Alma Center. Burial will be in SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Independence, at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be held at the church from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, with a prayer service and rosary at 7:30 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday.
