Marlotte was preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind cousins, colleagues, and many friends. Marlotte worked in the real estate abstracting and title field for over 58 years. She was a successful businesswoman, owning and operating the Trempealeau County Abstract Company and Title Service Inc., in Whitehall, Wisconsin. She purchased the business when she was 60, and subsequently sold it to The Title Company when she was 76. As a businesswoman, she led her company in its transition from abstracting to title insurance, and updated operations from a paper-based to a computer-based system. She was truly an early woman entrepreneur of Trempealeau County. She was a lifelong, and very active member, of the SS Peter and Paul Parish. In the 1950s and 1960s, she was a leader in the Squirettes youth organization, established by the Reverend Herbert Zoromski. Marlotte was loving and generous with her friends and family. She is especially remembered for the tender and loving care which she rendered to her parents in their declining years. Marlotte was deeply fond of her neighbors, the Runkel family.
