Larry Oium

WHITEHALL – Larry Oium, 47, of Whitehall, died Sunday, October 12, 2014. Larry was born March 28, 1967, in Mondovi, to Virgil and Donna (Johnson) Oium. Larry graduated from Eleva-Strum Central High School in 1985. He married Stacy Smith in 1989 and were married 17 years. He is survived by his daughter, Victoria (Nick Bertrang) Smith of Osseo; sister, Teresa (Brad) Durst of Osseo; brother, Lonnie Oium of Black River Falls; sister, Tami (Darren Higley) Oium of Osseo and brothers, Rick Oium and Mick Oium, both of Menomonie; father, Virgil Oium of Iowa; nieces and nephews, Michael, Kyle and Chelsie Durst, Thomas, Cody and Emmi Knuth, Brandon, Taylor and Ryan Oium and Halle and Grant Colby and great-nephews, Briley and Korbin Durst. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna; grandparents, Maurice and Ruth Johnson and Arnold and Selma Oium; uncle, Dick Johnson and cousin Tom Livingston. Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Osseo Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Lewis Thompson officiating. Burial will be in the West Beef River Cemetery, rural Strum. Visitation will be held 9-11 a.m. at the church on Friday.
