Patricia Ann Auger

Patricia A. Auger, 75, of Strum, died Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Eau Claire. Patricia was born January 27, 1939 in Robbinsdale, Minn. to Elmer and Harriet (McClintic) Hommes. She married Thomas Auger December 28, 1957 in Crystal, Minn. He died June 14, 2013. Patricia was a very compassionate caregiver, resilient and always gave a helping hand to anyone in need. She was a life-long learner, taking classes after retiring as a registered nurse. Patricia is survived by seven children, Kathy (Gary) Larson, Julie (Roger Sciammas) Auger, Steven (Traci) Auger, Mary (Dean) Pronschinske, Susie (Tim) Popple, Tommy (Sandra) Auger and Jennifer Auger; three brothers, John (Phyllis) Hommes, Jerry (Kathy) Hommes, and Howard Hommes; four sisters, Mary Hommes Buchta, Teresa Wiegers, Margaret (Larry) Julson and Angie (Doug) Swanson; fifteen grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; daughter, Tricia Auger and brother, Freddy Hommes. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at St. Raymond of Peñafort Catholic Church, Brackett, with Rev. Derek Sakowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Strum at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday, with a rosary at 7:30 p.m., at St. Raymond of Peñafort Catholic Church, Brackett, and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
