Gary Klewicki, 68, of Whitehall, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Gundersen Tri-County Hospital and Clinics,Whitehall.
Gary was born December 12, 1945 in Stanley to Bernard and Marion (Romanowicz) Klewicki. He married Burnelle Kowalsky.
Gary graduated from Thorp High School. He served his country for three years in Vietnam. He worked at Ashley Furniture for six years and finished his career at Golden Plump before retiring in 2008.
He is survived by his wife, Burnelle of Whitehall; daughter, Kelly (Paul) Larson of Stillwater, Minn. and son, Terry Klewicki of Milwaukee; brother, Jeff (Kathy) Klewicki of Stanley; sisters, Judy Callor of Wickenburg, Ariz. and Tami Bodamer, Chins Valley, Ariz.; six step-children, Tammy (Keith) Pronschinske, Sandy Strebig, Randy (Shawn) Kowalsky, Carmen Kuehn, Lance (Jenny) Kowalsky, and Shari (Matt) Mathias; 16 step-grandchildren, Brooke and Jared Pronschinske, Mitchel and Ryan Gardner, Brianna and Jonah Kowalsky, Jacob, Adam, Tanner, Dawson and Hanna Kuehn, Brandon and Nichole Kowalsky, Kylie, Tyler and Chase Mathias; two step-great grandchildren, Izabelle and Carson Kuehn.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lori McNew.
Funeral services, with Rev. Terry Lorenz officiating, will be at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Edison Funeral Home, Independence. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Military rites will be conducted by Sura-Wiersgalla American Legion Post 186. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery, rural Independence,at a later date.
