Edw Dauer, 84, of Independence, died Friday, October 25, 2013 at his daughter's home in Savage, Minn.
Edw was born on September 14, 1929 in Burnside Township, Trempealeau County to Joseph and Victoria (Marsolek) Dumback. He married Sally Franz August 12, 1971 in
Milwaukee. She died January 1996.
He worked for the City of Milwaukee as a Bureau Engineer for 40 years. He enjoyed gardening and nature. He was a member of Sigma Lambda Chi, the 42nd Engineer Construction Battalion and American Legion Post 186.
He was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Edw is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Eric) Wendt of Brown Deer, Wis., Kathy (Greg) Natyshak of Savage, Minn., and three grandchildren, Amber and Cody Wendt and William Natyshak.
Edw was preceded in death by his wife, Sally; brother, Allie Dumback and sister, Marion Winter.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Very Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiating. Burial, with military rites, will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be directed to them so they may be distributed to Edw's designated charities.
