Florence E. Kreibich, 82, of Independence, died on Monday, September 23, 2013, at Gundersen Tri-County Care Center in Whitehall, WI.
Florence was born on August 4, 1931 in Traverse Valley, rural Independence, to John and Julia (Lyga) Dubiel. She married Jerome Kreibich on November 27, 1950, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence. Jerome passed away on November 8, 2002. Together they remained in Independence, farmed and raised three children.
Survivors include her daughters, Virginia (Dennis) Marsolek and Sharon (Kenneth) Lessman both of Independence and a son, Jerome Jr. (Karla) Kreibich of Eleva; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister, Esther (LaVerne) Killian of Independence; sisters-in-law Irene Dubiel and Agnes Dubiel both of Independence, Kuni Dubiel of Arizona, and a brother-in-law, William “Bud” Kwosek of Independence, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Jerome, five brothers, Edward, Lawrence, Clarence, John and Ernest, and two sisters, Eleanore Thoma and Blanche Nogosek.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2013 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Very Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. followed by a rosary, at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
