Dennis Sura

Dennis Sura, 63, of Independence, died Thursday, September 12, 2013 at his home. Dennis was born August 5, 1950 in Whitehall to Joseph and Helen (Kulig) Sura. He was employed at Ashley Furniture the past 26 years. Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid Vikings fan. He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Survivors include two brothers, Ernest Sura of Independence and Bernard (Darlene) Sura of Kenosha; brother-in-law, Myron Ziegler of Independence; nieces and nephews. Dennis was preceded in death by his son, Derek Sura; his parents and a sister, Elenor Sylla-Ziegler. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, September 16, 2013 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Very Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
