Thomas E. Auger, 81, of Strum, died Friday, June 14, 2013 at Strum Area Health and Rehabilitation.
Tom was born August 23, 1931 in Chicago to Eugene and Bernadette (LeMettrey) Auger. He married Patricia Hommes December 28, 1957 in Crystal, Minnesota.
Tom was best known for being an elementary supervisor at Eleva-Strum schools for 25 years and as a musician. His other interests include flying, photography and computers.
He served in the U. S. Marines during the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. He was a member of St. Raymond of Peñafort Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Strum VFW Post 6550 and a charter member of the Eleva-Strum Lions Club.
Tom is survived by his wife, Patricia; seven children, Kathy (Gary) Larson, Julie (Roger Sciammas) Auger, Steven (Traci) Auger, Mary (Dean) Pronschinske, Susie (Tim) Popple, Tommy (Sandra) Auger and Jennifer Auger; fifteen grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tricia Auger.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at St. Raymond of Peñafort Catholic Church, Brackett. Burial, with military rites, will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Strum at 3:00 p.m.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday, with a Knights of Columbus rosary at 7:30 p.m., at St. Raymond of Peñafort Catholic Church, Brackett, and one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
