Rose Feuling, 95, of Independence, died Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Tri-County Care Center, Whitehall.
She was born October 23, 1917 in Montana Township, Buffalo County, to John and Frances (Bautch) Gierok. Rose married John Feuling on November 5, 1936 in Independence. He died March 26, 1987.
Rose worked at the old Independence High School and Arcadia Broiler Plant. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, its Women's Organization and Rosary Society.
Survivors include three children, Delores (Wayne) Collicott of Janesville, Phyllis (John) Berger of Gilroy, Calif. and Jerome (Shirley) Feuling of Independence; a brother, Roman Gierok of St. Paul, Minn.; 12 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and Great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Debra Feuling; granddaughter, Cindy Collicott; four brothers, John, Charles, Alfred and Iggie Gierok and a sister, Julia Thoma.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2013 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Very Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
