Irene R. Skroch

La Crosse - Irene R. Skroch, 83, of La Crosse passed away February, 19, 2013 at Hillview Health Care Center in La Crosse after a brief illness. Irene was born June 15, 1929, in Independence, Wis. to Clarence and Martha (Kiehl) Marsolek. She married George Skroch on May 17, 1948 in Independence, Wis. They lived most of their married life in La Crosse, Wis. Irene worked for 25 years in housekeeping at St. Frances Hospital. She is survived by her husband, George, a brother Dave (Sue) Marsolek of La Crosse, a brother Richard Marsolek of Deadwood, S. D., two sisters-in-law, Benvenuta Omdahl of Racine, Wis. and Alice Skroch of Independence, brother-in-law, Clarence Skroch of Independence, and many nieces and nephews. Irene was preceded in death by their infant son, Roger; her parents; her father and mother-in law, Peter and Anna (Ressler) Skroch; two brothers, Adrian Marsolek of Mondovi, Wis. and Rudy Marsolek of Roanoke, Va.; brothers -in-law Clarence, Clifford and August and a sister-in-law, Gertie. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Very Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiating.
