Jeanette A. Buchholz, 75, of Independence, died Thursday, May 17, 2012, at Mayo Clinic Health System in La Crosse surrounded by her loving family.
Jeanette was born January 19, 1937 in Independence to Clifford T. and Blanche (Kokott) Marsolek. She married Richard Buchholz November 7, 1959 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence. He died April 25, 1982.
Jeanette worked for the US Postal Service in Independence and Eau Claire until retirement. She enjoyed rug-weaving. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, its Women's Organization and Rosary Society.
Survivors include her four children, Kenneth Buchholz of La Crosse, Patrick Buchholz of Independence, Sherri Hummel of Nassau, The Bahamas, Terri (John) Roddam of Roswell, Ga.; a brother, James (Dorothy) Marsolek of Arcadia, a sister, Joan Takala of Milwaukee; one grandchild, Morgen Hummel of Commerce Township, Mich.; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. followed by a rosary, at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
