Vivian L. Ulberg, 90, of Strum, died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Crystal Lake Manor, Strum.
Vivian was born February 23, 1921, in Nelson, Wis. to Joseph and Eva (Hetrick) Ott. She married Clifford M. Ulberg August 2, 1941 in Mondovi. He died February 15, 1997.
The couple farmed in rural Eleva, where she worked hard taking care of her family and working the farm. Her trips to Texas for 20 years as a "snow bird" were a highlight of her life and she looked forward to heading for Texas every fall. Viv was an excellent cook and homemaker and always had a welcoming smile for all who came through the door!
Viv was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Strum and the Hamlin Homemakers.
Vivian is survived by her four children, Jim (Cheri) Ulberg of Eau Claire, Sharon (Edward) Prudlick of Strum, Dennis (Maxine) Ulberg of Eleva, Carmen Swartz of New Richmond; three sisters-in-law, Arlene Ott of Eau Claire, Betty (Vern) Bennett of Fargo, N.D. and Marlene Ulberg of Osseo Minn.; seven grandchildren, Jerry (Barb), Chad (Becky) and Greg (Melissa) Ulberg, Michelle Sevesind, Paul (Darcy) Ulberg, Jason and Bradley Swartz; two step-grandchildren, Dawn (Kail) LaVigne and Darin (Kristie) Weber; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
Vivian was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, Donald and Roy Ott.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 2, 2011 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Strum, with Rev. K. D. Taylor officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Strum.
Visitation will be 11:30-1:30 p.m. at the church.
