Anton "Tony" A. Sluga, 76, of Greenfield, WI, formerly of Independence, passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011 at Columbia-St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon, Wis.
Tony was a proud veteran and served in the army at the end of the Korean War, following his four brother's footsteps who served during WWII.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene; six children, Grace, Brian, Tony (Diane) Jr., William, Yvonne and Albert (Ann) Sluga; step-children, grandchildren, step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 3722 S. 58th St., Milwaukee. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. at the church.
Graveside services, with military rites, will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, October 1st, at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery, Independence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, Cancer Center at Froedtert Hospital or Horizon Hospice.
