INDEPENDENCE – Evelyn G. Bautch, 89, of Independence, died Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Tri-County Memorial Nursing Home, Whitehall.
Evelyn was born January 12, 1922 in North Creek to Jacob and Pauline (Swietz) Sobotta. She married Jerome J. Bautch October 2, 1944 in North Creek. He died April 8, 2006.
Evelyn was an avid Brewer’s and Buck’s fan. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo and her flower garden. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, its Women’s Organization and Rosary Society.
Survivors include her five children, Bonnie (Alllie) Kabus of Independence, Beverly (David) Teigen of Mondovi, Barbara (Peter) Isaacs of Whitehall, Robert J. Bautch of Independence and Bruce B. Bautch of Milwaukee; nine grandchildren, Ted (Jami) Kabus, Tracy (Jerome) Halama, Tami (Troy Rebarchek) Keenan, Amy (Jereme Hinkle) Teigen, Kelly (Dave Talmage) Teigen, Eric (Michelle) Pogreba, Robbie (Kristina) Marsolek, Kendra Marsolek and Blake Bautch; eight great-grandchildren, Cody and Cassidy Kabus, Hillary and Hannah Halama, Dayton and Dayne Keenan, Peri Kaitlynn Hinkle and Avery Pogreba and one step-great-grandson, Jordan Watts; three sisters-in-law, Angeline and Julia Sobotta and Rose M. Bautch.
Evelyn was preceded in death by an infant son, Kenneth; a grandson, Perry Teigen; three sisters and three brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 8-10 a.m. Wednesday at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, where there will be a prayer service followed by a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
