Julia Slaby, 93 of rural Arcadia, died Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Arcadia.
She was born February 18, 1918 in Hale Township, Trempealeau County, to Joseph and Cecelia (Marsolek) Przybilla. She married Adolph Slaby on October 22, 1935 at SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Independence. He died June 13, 1997.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary (Franc) Klonecki and Addie (Byron) Harms both of Arcadia; five grandchildren, Scott Benusa, Sally (Terry) Doyle, Steven (Shelley) Benusa, Brandi and Dustin Harms; seven great-grandchildren, Jennifer (Mark) Simonson, Katie and Jessica Doyle, Raisa, Sejal, Brice, and Tsion Benusa; two brothers, Albert Przybilla of Blair and George (Connie) Przybilla of Whitehall.
Julia was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph; two sisters, Eleanore Rombalski and Marion Korpal; a brother, Joseph Przybilla Jr.; and a granddaughter, Susan Benusa.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2011 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Independence, with Rev. Woodrow H. Pace officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. followed by a rosary, at Edison Funeral Home, Independence, and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
